College Come Faster

Well it's 1:36 in the morning and I can't fall asleep, nothing new here.  Granted, I slept until 4 in the afternoon today so it's kind of expected I would be up this late.

I was planning to spend yet another evening watching movies on Netflix but then I got caught up watching videos about going to college and what it's like and I just can't stop thinking about it.  As a senior in high school who's been accepted into her top choice, all I can think about is college.

I'm going to a fairly large University (around 17,000 I believe) and that's a HUGE change for me coming from an all girls Catholic school of about 700 maybe.  And I know that it's going to be a difficult transition BUT IT'S GOING TO BE SO EXCITING.  I don't know why but I just can't stop thinking about it all- living in a dorm with a complete stranger (who will hopefully not be psycho), walking to classes throughout the day, meeting so many new people, starting to finally do what I love (fashion merchandising), partying on the weekends (responsibly), and all that comes with college.

I know people constantly say "Oh don't wish high school away you'll miss it!" and yes I know, I absolutely will miss high school.  I LOVE my school and I have some of the greatest friends in the world and of course I don't want it to go away so fast.  It's not that I want to leave high school it's just that I want to go to college.  I want to be independent and live on my own and experience new things.

I can't wait to start buying stuff for my dorm and getting my roommate assignment (though it does make me a little nervous) and get to school and live on a campus and jsut alsdkga;sjbgd;kajbs COLLEGE YA KNOW.  And it really doesn't help my inability to be patient that I'm going to a school that I love.  It is literally a school with everything I could want - it has my major, the ability to study abroad, lots of internship opportunities, a program linked to FIT, IT HAS IT ALL OK.  I just can't wait to be out of where I am now ya know.

Well sorry that this post isn't super informative or helpful or exciting with fancy pictures and shit but it's just a rant from a girl who can't wait to live her life in college.  Holla.

Merci beaucoup.

Obligatory Updates

I feel as though since I've been gone for so long, I should update you on my life in general.

Well the first quarter of senior year was pure hell like truly hell.  I just think of an average day in the beginning of senior year and I don't know how I did it.  Lots of caffeine and little sleep I suppose.  But now senior year is easing up just slightly.  Much  more relaxed and much more sleep so I'm happy about that.

As far as concerts go I saw Ed Sheeran in September with Kingsfoil as his opener.  Ed was absolutely incredible as expected.  I saw him last September before he had really gotten big in America so seeing him again in a bigger venue was cool.  Ed's opener was incredibly good and so I went just yesterday to see them live.  Kingsfoil is seriously so talented.  Below I have a little collage of the first time I met them in September and then when I met them yesterday.
As far as beauty goes, well I do have some new products for sure so expect some review to come in the upcoming weeks.  They may include the Naked 3 palette, some Revlon lip products, some Urban Decay liners, and a plethora of mascaras.

In regards to fashion...well it's constantly changing of course but currently I live in leggings and sweaters and boots and hats and I love it.  I will occasionally throw on a skirt and tights with booties but I'm very much about comfort.  I also love having the ability to just throw on a coat over whatever I'm wearing and I already look put together.  But yes comfort holds utmost importance.

In my life there have also been some changes which is exciting.  I'm getting into college now so that will be a decision I will make in the near future.  I have a job now (I work at a frozen yogurt place) and I still babysit here and there.  BUT the most exciting news is...I'M GOING TO FRANCE.  If you knew me you would know that THIS IS A HUGE DEAL AND IS QUITE POSSIBLY THE MOST EXCITING THING THAT COULD EVER HAPPEN.  I apologize for the caps but they are completely necessary.  I shall discuss more about this in another post it's far too important to try and shorten all of the excitement.

I think that's all I really have as of right now.

I love you all.

It's late and I can't sleep.

It's been a while.  Unfortunately so, but things have just kind of been crazy with me lately.  I've redone my room, there's lots of things being changed in my house, there's just a lot of chaos basically.  And sadly that means my blog was neglected.  And I just have it in my mind that this blog needs to be beauty and fashion and while I do wish it to be I've come to realize that maybe it can be about other things.  Things that people think about but never really say.  The things you think about late at night, maybe like I am now.

I’ve just watched the movie “The First Time".  The lead is Dylan O’Brien who I’ve recently fallen in love with after watching Teen Wolf for the past week like a maniac.  I watched this movie simply because he was the lead and it looked promising.  But it was more than that in the end.  I feel like…I don’t know I always have this desire to just put myself out there and be a little reckless.  Now if you’ve seen the movie or go google it now don’t think that like…okay it does seem strange that this movie would inspire me considering it’s essentially these two teenagers losing their virginity but if you watch the movie you’ll see it’s far more than that.  It’s doing the unexpected and doing what you want because you’re young and because you can.

One of my favorite songs is Wild Thing by Misty Miller and my favorite line is, “Inside of each of us there is a hidden child / all you have to do is learn to be wild."  That line just strikes me.  Sometimes I just feel like I act too old.  I haven’t made those stupid mistakes that teenagers seem to make.  I haven’t snuck out late at night- I haven’t rebelled I guess.  And maybe that’s good.  I’m not saying I’m some perfect person, hell I’m far from that, but sometimes, like right now, I just feel like I want to be young.  I want to go out and do things I normally wouldn’t do, because when else am I going to do them? I don’t want to be afraid of putting myself out there.  I don’t necessarily want to rebel I just want to…be.  To be.  More than just be actually…I want to live.  And obviously I am living and I can say I have never been happier in my life than I am right now but I just want to do more, see more, try more and see where it takes me.

I know I sound like some dramatic teen who watches way too many movies late at night and hey maybe I am, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m just saying what so many others think and feel.  I just don’t want to miss out on my life because I was afraid of what might be.  Of the unknown.  I turn 17 in 6 days.  Almost 17 years I’ve been alive…but have I really lived?  I keep asking myself that, and I don’t know the answer.  Well I want to know the answer now.  I want to know that I have lived a little in a sense.

It’s not my intention to now go and try a bunch of drugs and try and hook up with a bunch of guys.  That’s honestly what I really don’t want to do.  What I want to do is to not let my fears hold me back.  To say yes more.  Because like I’ve heard so many times about weird looking vegetables, “you don’t know until you’ve tried it."  Well I think after 17 years it’s time to try it.  We’ll see how it goes.

Be Positive. Be Happy. & Smile.
