Okay that's beside the point, the point being- as a senior I am taking an advanced graphic design class. Throughout the year, I will be building a portfolio to submit for AP credit so in order to complete it on time I had to start in the summer. Well one of the assignments was to create a self portrait- it didn't necessarily have to be a picture of yourself.
Seeing as I take a lot of photos, I'm making photography the focus of my portfolio. Rather, finding beauty in the normal, the usual. I don't really feel like explaining it all because to be honest I'm not quite sure what my focus is myself I'm still figuring it out. Regardless, this is what happened. With the assistance of Photoshop and such, I created my self portrait.
It's not 100% complete but I like it nonetheless. The concept here is that who I am, my self, my being, is made up of so much more than just me. I am comprised of family and friends and passions and people I maybe have never met. I like how the image seems quite simple at first glance - a picture of myself, though focused on the camera, I am still in the photo. When you really look at it though you realize it's much more complex than that. It's many images within an image. And that's what I am.
That's so cool! You have pictures in the lens of the camera! Very creative and good job! :D
